Share Account: Classic Quarterly

For some customers the priority is earning a good rate of interest, which is not susceptible to the volatility of money market rates. Of course, there are many fixed rate options available. However, such options usually involve tying up your money for lengthy terms with limited or no access to your funds. Classic Quarterly offers you the certainty of a fixed interest rate for each calendar quarter while still enabling you to access your funds. The minimum balance required to open a Classic Quarterly account is 20,000.

Features of this account include:

  • Competitive Interest rates:
    • We offer competitive rates according to the size of your lodgement.
    • Your rate will be fixed for each calendar quarter (e.g.: 1 January to 31 March).
    • Interest rates are reviewed in line with market conditions.

  • Flexible Withdrawal Facility:
    • Each month you may make one withdrawal of up to 5000.
    • Withdrawals in excess of 5000 require 30 days written notice.
    • Withdrawals without such notice will be subject to a penalty equivalent to 30 days interest on the amount withdrawn.
    • Existing Special Savings Accounts will require 30 days notice.
    • The minimum balance required at time of opening the account should be maintained at all times.

  • Additional Lodgements:
    • You may make lodgements at any Irish Nationwide branch throughout the country.
